Zlin is a city located in the east of Moravia – 300 km from Prague, 100 km from Brno and 220 km from Vienna. It is associated with the businessman Tomas Bata. Bata shoes are renowned the world over. Zlin is a city of functionalist architecutre, university students, beautiful zoos in castle grounds and film studios. The city is well worth a visit!
The international music festival Harmonia Moraviae was founded in 1999 and is organised by the Bohuslav Martinu Philharmonic Orchestra with the support of the Zlin Region and City of Zlin. Originally, the content was only spiritual music. A turning point came in 2007 when the festival became more accessible to the public and began to také place each year and included secular music with a variety of diverse styles and genres.

Zlin´s scyscraper – building No. 21 – Most of the key and dominant buildings including the most famous one – the administration building of the shoemaking factory No. 21, Zlín’s skyscraper also. This building was one of the first high-rise buildings in Europe. Today it houses Regional offices. You can visit cafe and terrace with a splendid view on the roof of the building.
Museum of shoes – many exhibits from around the world shows historic and present days of shoes – of the product associated with the city of Zlín
Chateau Lesna and ZOO – one of the most visited zoos in Czech Republic, its area is divided by continents.
Bata-canal – a water way is today a tourist attraction where you can become captain of a small boat or can use a regular boat cruises
