Teplice is a city in northern Bohemia at the foothills of the Ore Mountains, a few kilometres from the border with Germany. Teplice is ranked among the oldest spas in Europe. In 2014, the festival celebrated its 50th anniversary. An important development occured in 2004 when the original 5 concerts increased to an average of 20 throughout the Usti region. The festival takes place in the spa town Teplice as well as in the castles in Velke Brezno, Klasterec nad Ohri, Novy Hrad in Jimlin, in the monastery in Osek or in Litomerice and Terezin. Over the years of its existence welcomed many artists from around the world working in different musical genres.
